Education

Elijah holds an MFA from the Yale School of Drama and a BFA from Elon University. His artistic training has been shaped by master teachers including Bob Krakower, Gregory Berg, Dr. Budi Miller, and Erica Faye. He continues to view his own development as an artist and teacher as an ongoing practice, grounded in curiosity, discipline, and a lifelong commitment to learning.

Philosophy

Acting for the camera is best learned through doing, so Elijah's classroom functions much like a teaching hospital, giving actors the opportunity to apply their craft through rigorous practice, thoughtful experimentation, and honest evaluation. Every scene presents a unique artistic problem to solve, and each challenge becomes an opportunity to deepen the actor's understanding of truthful human behavior.

While technical demands are unique to the camera, Elijah believes technique should never overshadow the life of the work. Acting tools exist to expand an actor's freedom, not replace instinct or authenticity. His goal is to help actors develop a reliable process rooted in preparation, imagination, specificity, and genuine human connection so they are equipped not only to work professionally, but to continue growing as artists throughout their careers.
